Bike Fits: An often overlooked factor in preventing injuries and enjoying your ride

A bike fit using Retül technology includes the following following steps:

• Initial physical assessment of you, the rider, where we can address your concerns about performance, pain, or any other issues you hope to alleviate during the bike fit. 
• We put you on your bike on the trainer and then I strategically place LED markers on eight anatomical points: wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, knee, ankle, heel, and toe. 
• As you pedal, Retül's sensor bar gathers real-time, three-dimensional data of your pedal strokes and movements. 
• Your data is compiled into a reader-friendly report for analysis. 
• I assess your position and make necessary adjustments. 
• The Zin, Retül's handheld digitizer, allows me to digitally measure the your bike at 13-15 points. The Zin can measure fixed points, contours, and curves, and provides a complete digital map of the bike. 
• The fit information is saved and stored on our computer. The data includes your personal profile, measurements from the fit, bike measurements, and your final fit position. 
• I will be able to access and print these records for comparison and tracking of historical fit data for you. We can schedule follow up appointments to ensure that you are satisfied with your fit and the fit experience, and with this data tracking can more easily and quickly make adjustments.
